We will share in worship two classics - Onward Christian Soldiers and The Church's One Foundation.
By way of background, The Church's One Foundation was written when there was much liberal teaching threatening the doctrine of the church. Pastor Samuel Stone then wrote this classic to reaffirm the universal church as stated in the Apostles creed.
Ephesians 5:23 reads Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of His body, the church.
For the younger generation not familiar with the words of this second classic. It can be found in our blue hymnal in the pews. Turn to hymn 45.
