Christmas Caroling at the Newark Correction Center

This is the day to remember that God sent us to visit the Newark Correction Center for celebrating Christmas with brothers and sisters that we had never met before. 
Before I left home, I talked to Kylie that she had to be good and stayed home with her sister and brother because mommy had to visit people in jail. 
She worried and said"Why? You will stuck there." 
"No, I am going to celebrate Christmas with them with songs and ringing handbells and hope to bring God's message to them." 
"Mommy, you will be trapped inside so I don't want you to go" she concerned.

Without God's love, I wouldn't be able to take this step and walked into the correction center.  With an outdated GPS we made a wrong turn but still made it.  We had about 40 sisters and brothers participated the Christmas Caroling and everyone were so exciting to serve on this service. 

Seeing so many young faces sit there and watched our service, I was very sad and paryed for God to forgive their sin and bring them back to normal life soon.

Thanks for Elder Lee's kindness for preparing dinner for us.  Megan had spent days and nights wrapping 100 gifts for this service.

 中午休息，蘿蔔糕有夠讚。那些orange 也是甜到心理。

 搖的好賣力，快的不見蹤影。

 老神在在，胸有成竹。

 好用功，看得連自己也忍不住掉眼淚。

今天很抱歉沒有煮咖哩雞午餐,自己信心不夠大,唯恐下雪取消練習,一大鍋咖哩雞沒銷.....

看到大家這麼拼命練10am-4:30pm,精神可佳! 週一晚6pm請下班後直接到教會樓下晚餐!

今午大家走後,我,珊予,小蘭,美珍留下加班練,謝謝Tim進來提醒我們外面路況不好,要趕快回家!

出來時看到靈恩在外面幫我們清車子積雪,好感動! 這陣子大家一齊練手搖鈴,真是缺一人都不行耶!

"同甘苦共患難"的感覺真好!

用ipad看"平安夜"video,鏡頭固定在我,Wendy,姚兄.看到自己一張臭臉嚇了一跳!! 原來不笑的我就是這付德行啊!!!video download到電腦後無法play,等搞定一定寄給大家以為鑑戒!奉勸大家看著美女指揮時要帶點微笑,免得和我一樣看video被自己一張臭臉嚇了一跳!!

Youth handbell choir first practice

We thank God to shine bright on our handbell choir.  Tonight we had the third group -- our youth ringers to start practicing the song "Our God".  They are strong because they all have had music education.  May God watch over their music and spirit.



Handbell "Tim" Got Talent

 "OMG" was the first word came out of my mouth when I saw this picture.  Tim was practicing the handbell with us last night -- in spirit, according to this picture.  How cute! I was so thrilled of knowing our ringers' enthusiasm of loving to play.  God has inspired all of us and encouraged us to send His message to everyone thru music.


We have to thank our conductor Megan for continuing creating the best instruction to guide us and help us to improve on our skills little by little.  God has already known that we able to serve others with "Christmas Caroling" and we are ready.  Let's pray for the meaning of "The Birth of Jesus" is truly "Gloria in excelsis Deo" but not just exchange gifts.

Thanks Shirley and Lina's caring heart.  Last night was only in teens degree so the porridge warmed my whole body up right away.  I forgot to take pictures again.  The bread and taro cake filled my tommy without wasting any minute.  God is great.

主恩堂日前舉行感恩慶祝會，大家歡喜快樂地一起數算今年的豐收和恩典。 聚會以禱告和頌讚的歌聲展開，首先今年新成立的手鐘樂團表演，十多位成員中有兩位90歲以上、六位80歲以上的長者。 長者們的頭髮閃爍銀白光亮，臉上流露慈祥笑容，他們用大大小小的手鐘 ，有的具相當份量，努力敲擊出悅耳的鐘聲。 緊接著長者演出之後，兒童詩班的小朋友用真摯的童音唱出「要稱謝」。見證影片「我們愛神因為神先愛我們」之後，則由台語詩班演唱」。 現場的第一個感恩見證是一位大學生團契中的女孩朗讀的「來自中西部的一封信」，信中說到由於主恩堂每年夏天短宣隊的到訪，在美國中西部各大學巡迴佈道，將福音帶給那裡的中國留學生。充滿喜樂的來信，感動了會眾。 第二個見證是由會友Mason夫婦述說的感恩見證「愛在非洲」 ，關於小而貧困的蘇丹國中的一個丁卡族，與主恩堂的一群基督徒前往宣道的故事。 英文堂青少年的表演舞劇，最後由謝尊樂長老以「感恩的生命」為題，告訴會眾會感恩之人的特點，勸勉大家要作懂得感恩的人。 Read more: 世界新聞網-北美華文新聞、華商資訊 - 主恩堂感恩聚會 長者歡喜敲手鐘

感恩節前的預演練習，這次是來真的哦

第一次來觀摩A團的練習，竟然是在感恩節獻詩前，真是太不盡責了，什麽都没做，還讓伯父伯母請吃中飯，吃的還理直氣壯，臉不紅心不跳，感謝主讓我們一起在愛中生活，成長。

看完他們的表演，我感動得眼淚都快要掉下來了，每位弟兄姐妹認真的態度，已經得神的榮耀，成就這事工，他們不但得演奏自己的一部分，還不時互相提醒可能漏掉的音符，讓演出完美無暇。我們親愛的天父，感謝那加添給我們的力量，讓長者們能用手鈴音樂傳達神的偉大，見證在神没有不可能完成的事。請一定來參與感恩節聚會。

 

雪花是個得力的助手。

元治弟兄的天分不是蓋的喲, 謝伯母更是胸有成竹，鈴聲驚艷四座。
